Interaction with family will begin to shape personality. Sing-a-longs and make-believe can be encouraged, but the child should be spoken to in complete sentences. Let them help with easy chores and teach them how to share. They are more aware of their surroundings, so allow a bit of freedom to explore, but make sure they understand limits. They notice the actions of others—model the behavior you expect from them.
